"Innovation often comes from outsiders. Great innovators have come from obscure origins, in unfashionable provinces, and without good contacts or education. Kodak did invent digital photography, but had too big an invested interest in hoping it would go away, rather than exploring it."  - How Innovation Works by Matt Ridley

EDGE Ministries, in collaboration with David Krause of the Anglican Diocese of Toronto and Rev Stephen Milton of The United Church of Canada, invite you and your community of faith to explore the power of innovation for communities of faith that are seeking a new direction.

The Innovation Cohort, the fourth course in EDGE's Signpost Series, is designed for leaders, forward thinkers, and action takers who wish to learn how they can help take a community of faith through developing an innovative idea, partnering with the right people to move the project through the planning and implementation stages, evaluating the project to determine its level of success, and if appropriate, start the work to make and keep it sustainable. Designed to be taken as a standalone course or part of the Signpost Series, the Innovation Cohort offers asynchronous material for individuals and groups to work at on their own, and a cohort component at Edge's monthly Idea Days, where students can share progress with others as their ideas develop and give feedback to other students as their ideas develop.

Harnessing the power of innovative thought to explore new ideas of "church" strengthens congregations and communities, while setting communities of faith in new and exciting directions. Come explore with us!

EDGE is no longer accepting registrations on CHURCHx for this Signpost.  Please email edge@united-church.ca about other ways to view the course content.
